FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register my child?

Click here to head over to the events page and find the event location and date closest to you.

What is the age group you cater to?

We currently have capacity to cater for ages 5-18 years. We are working with disability support organisations to be able to provide a program that will support those older than 18 years. We understand that Autism is a lifelong diagnosis that does not simply disappear once someone reaches adulthood. We do however believe that we need to be able to provide the necessary supports and equipment to serve this population group first before offering further services. This includes adapted equipment, larger boards and appropriately trained volunteers.

Can siblings participate?

Yes of course! Here at Surfing the Spectrum we encourage the whole family to be involved in the events which definitely includes siblings. When you register your child there will be a place to include siblings name and age.

How do I become a volunteer?

Firstly we require you to have your working with children check with further ocean competency skills required for our surf volunteers.

Click here to head over to our volunteers page to find out how to register for your location as either a surf volunteer or land-based volunteer.
